I started Abstruse Edifice about a year ago now,
and it's just starting to take its final form so bear with me.
The reason I even bothered to start a site was not to follow the recent
"Urban Exploration" fad, but actually as more of a time capsule for me.
I've been to some amazing places and never really documented them; and well,
now they're gone forever and just in my memories. However, as this just
started out as a small photoblog, I started getting more involved in the
photography side of it as well as the documentation of these relics so
now I'm here to share my stories and my photographs. Almost all of my
locations are renamed to protect them against harm, and like most
websites such as mine I do not want my site made into shopping list. I do also photograph other things besides structures- I have shot
portraits, high end cars, and private land and properties requested by
the owner. I am a student in photography so if you would be interested
in getting some shots done I charge a very low rate and can be contacted here:

Please be patient with the updates done here because of the fact that
I work 6 days a week and play in a band, so getting the time to sit down
and write out the code here is rare. However, I shoot for monthly updates.
